Do you love to read? Are you passionate about botany, natural history, sustainability and similar topics? Then, you’ll love the BRIT Reads Book Club! This informal group meets every other month to discuss a chosen book, in-person and virtually. We begin with a moderator summarizing the book and reviewing its key points. Then there is an opportunity for discussion—all are encouraged to share their perspectives and thoughts. You will leave with new information, new perspectives and new connections to others with shared interests. Don’t have time to read the book? No worries! Join us to hear the review and jump in on the discussion!
Registration is recommended but not required for this program. Pre-registered participants will receive an email reminder with directions and the zoom link the Friday before the session.
Please note that this month we meet on the second Monday of the month. In February, join us to discuss Jack Weatherford’s Indian Givers: How the Indians of the Americas Transformed the World. The book explores the significant contributions of Native Americans to modern culture, medicine, agriculture, and more, highlighting how these contributions have often been overlooked in history.
Registration includes Garden admission for the day—we encourage you to explore the Garden before and after class!
