Right Plant, Right Place - Yard and Garden

DATE: Friday 3/20/26   TIME: 9:30am - 11:30am

Well-informed plant selection leads to happier, healthier plants and more confident plant parents. In this outdoor planting primer, our expert horticulturist will demystify commonly used terms describing light exposure, soil types, annual vs perennial plants, and hardiness zones, and demonstrate how to accurately assess conditions in your yard or garden. You’ll explore which types of plants perform best in common conditions in our region and leave empowered to evaluate your own space and choose plants that are set up for success. No matter what type of gardening you’re interested in, understanding your growing conditions is the key to choosing plants that thrive and bring lasting enjoyment.

Registration includes Garden admission for the day—we encourage you to explore the Garden after class!
