Join nature photographer Victor Mozqueda and science writer Nancy Pick for a brief talk about geometric patterns — specifically the Fibonacci sequence — in nature, and Victor's approach to taking ultra close-up photos of plants and the microscopic worlds he beholds beneath his lens. Expect to come away with more knowledge about plant geometry, macro photography, and a sense of wonder about smaller-scale forms and organisms. Copies of "Do Plants Know Math?" will also be available for purchase through Monkey and Dog Books. Light refreshments will be provided.
