This immersive experience offers FFA students a unique opportunity to explore the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden (FWBG). Designed to deepen their understanding of plant sciences, conservation, and agricultural innovation, the tour highlights the real-world applications of botanical research and horticulture in agriculture and sustainability.
Participants will enjoy a guided tour of BRIT, where they will meet with staff in the library, herbarium, and research departments to learn about ongoing work in plant science and conservation. As a hands-on component, students will also have the opportunity to mount their own plant specimen and take it home as a meaningful keepsake from their experience.
