This interactive tour offers FFA students an in-depth look at the world of horticulture, exploring the science, artistry, and sustainability behind plant cultivation. Designed to enhance their understanding of plant growth, landscape design, and greenhouse management, the tour provides hands-on experiences with industry professionals.

Students will visit various gardens and greenhouses throughout the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens (FWBG) hearing from horticulturists about their career paths and the diverse opportunities available in the field.

By the end of the tour, students will gain valuable insights into the roles of horticulturalist and landscape designers, inspiring potential careers.

Location & Parking: Lot D, 3408 W. Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76107

Student: $5

Details: Students will explore the Fuller Garden, Texas Native Boardwalk, Perennial Garden, Rose Garden, Trial Garden, and the Begonia Greenhouse. Along the way, they'll meet the horticulturists who care for each area, hear about their career journeys, learn what a typical day looks like, and have the chance to ask questions. The visit will also include a hands-on potting and design activity where students will create their own potted plant to take home!
