Together in partnership, the Fort Worth Garden Club (FWGC) and FWBG present the Girls Nature Workshops series! These hands-on programs connect girls and their families to the fascinating world of horticulture and floriculture. Each workshop highlights skills and activities designed to inspire the next generation of plant lovers and environmental stewards.
Although Girls Nature Workshops are not specifically designed to meet badge requirements, Girl Scouts are welcome to complete badge work through these programs. Please note: petals or badges are not available on-site; they can be purchased at the Girl Scout store or online.
In this Girls Nature Workshop, participants will explore the wonders of the biosphere, the zone on Earth containing the soil, water, and air where all life exists. They will learn how the biosphere functions as an amazing planetary ecosystem and create their own mini version, a tabletop biosphere, to take home and observe.
