Together in partnership, the Fort Worth Garden Club (FWGC) and FWBG present the Girls Nature Workshops series! These hands-on programs connect girls and their families to the fascinating world of horticulture and floriculture. Each workshop highlights skills and activities designed to inspire the next generation of plant lovers and environmental stewards.
Although Girls Nature Workshops are not specifically designed to meet badge requirements, Girl Scouts are welcome to complete badge work through these programs. Please note: petals or badges are not available on-site; they can be purchased at the Girl Scout store or online.
This series is recommended for ages 7-12. Registration for this program includes general admission for the program date.
In this Girls Nature Workshop, participants will practice sewing skills by making a bird collage wall decoration. They will use a sewing machine as well as hand-sew buttons, trims, and simple embroidery stitches to create a unique piece of hangable art!
